I am following San Jose boxer Andy Vences as he prepares for the biggest fight of his career. Vences (16-0, 10 KO) is set to fight for the WBC Continental Americas super featherweight championship against Casey Ramos (23-0, 6 KO) on Nov. 4 at Treasure Island in Las Vegas. Vences and Ramos are two of Top Rank’s brightest prospects in a stacked 130-lb division. The fight will be televised as the main event of ‘Solo Boxeo’ on UniMas on Nov. 4 at the Treasure Island Hotel & Casino, one night before the Manny Pacquiao vs Jessie Vargas pay-per-view. In this video, Vences discusses the type of sparring he’s getting in preparation for Ramos, representing Northern California on his upcoming trip to go spar WBO featherweight champ Oscar Valdez down in Southern California, fighting in his first 10-round fight and what it would mean for him to bring a championship to San Jose.
